Toro Ag Dedicates Violante Training Center

Toro Ag is pleased to announce the dedication of our new training center in honor of John Violante, a beloved member of our team who passed away last year. The Violante Training Center will serve as a lasting tribute to John’s legacy and dedication to excellence in training and development.

Located in Riverside, California, the Violante Training Center will be the hub for our training and development programs for agriculture products and technologies. This facility will host various internal and external training programs, such as employee technical training, dealer fly-in sessions, and customer workshops.

John was known for his unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, and his dedication to training and development was unmatched. He fostered strong relationships with dealers and growers by being transparent and working collaboratively to find solutions to help our customer base. He led by example as a mentor, offering his time and advice to new team members.

Throughout his career in agriculture, John dedicated himself to assisting growers across Salinas and the Southwest desert. For the past seven years, he embodied Toro’s values and helped position Toro Ag as a leader on the California Coast. John’s contributions ranged from supporting growers in selecting the right technology for their stunning strawberry fields to sharing his knowledge on system maintenance for more productive fields. He also reviewed system designs to improve water usage and promote sustainability. John went above and beyond, using his humor and humility to share his lifelong experiences in farming, rugby, and simply enjoying life.

“John personified the level of customer care that we expect from Toro Ag employees, and we are proud to honor his legacy with the dedication of this training center,” said Neville Mody, General Manager of Toro’s Ag business. “His commitment to training and development was second to none, and this facility will ensure that his legacy lives on for many years to come.”

The dedication ceremony for the Violante Training Center took place on May 17, 2023, featuring remarks from Toro Ag Senior Leaders and members of John’s close family.
